The Polar Express

What a great time we all had - Will, momma, daddy, Nanny and Poppy!!! Will would not take his eyes off the train!!

While we were in line to get on the train, he had second thoughts and started telling us, "No get on train!" Once we got on and Nanny seated him near the window, he loved it!!! He peered out the window and was so excited when we arrived at the North Pole. He was waving to Santa and all the elves.

Once the elves got on the train, he was not as excited -- in fact he didn't want anything to do with them!!!

Then, Will saw Santa!!! Of course, that would be the time that my camera breaks!!! He shared his goldfish with Santa Clause and told him what he wanted for Christmas. "Tractor and a firetruck, please Santa. Thank you."
I was shocked that he wasn't terrified of Santa, and then so mad about my camera. It would have been a great video!!!

School Christmas Party

Will had his Christmas party at school. He had a blast! He didn't eat as much as he did at the Halloween party, but he did enjoy the food. For the first time, he is realizing what "presents" are all about. I never knew he had such an interest in dinosaurs!!!

No slackers in this house!!!

Everyone has to make their own dinner!!! :)

Will's cousins!!

Last weekend we got to keep Josh and Lexi while their parents went to see the Nutcracker. I have to admit...I did not think it was going to go well with THREE kids. I was sooooo wrong!!! It was a piece of cake! Will just followed Lexi everywhere she went and she was great! She played with him and read his books to him. Then, they got comfortable on the floor to watch Finding Nemo.

Josh is such a happy little boy - he is now 7 months old. We played in the floor, and when the corner of a book scratched him, he was ticked! Will was so cute - he grabbed the book, told it, "Bad - no hurt Josh!" Then he promptly put the book in timeout! He then offered every one of his toys to Josh to make him quit crying - what a sweetheart!!! There was a time when Will would not tolerate me even holding Josh - he has come a long way!
Once Josh had his squash, he was ready for his bottle. So, David did that part. Then, Josh was out for an hour.....it was a BREEZE!!!!

At the end of the day, the only person who didn't nap, was Will!!!

Thanksgiving

We had a great time with all of David's family in San Antonio! There were 16 of us all in one house! We ate a ton of food and watched a lot of football!!! On Black Friday all the girls, plus Will, went shopping. We left the house about 10 a.m. and didn't return until around 11 that night! Will was such a trooper. Here is at lunch with all the girls:

That evening, all of the guys met us at La Hacienda for some great mexican food and live music. Will was quite the ham. After scarfing down a grilled cheese and french fries, he stood up in his high chair to take some pictures of everyone at the table.

Here are some of his pictures he took -- not bad for a 22 month old!!!!

And, since shopping all day from his stroller didn't wear him out, he was ready for some dancing!!!

When we got back to the house around 11 p.m. he decided he would play some craps with the guys before going to bed.

Once he went to sleep, he was OUT -- and slept until almost 10 the next morning!

In the News...

Well, maybe not the NEWS....but Will was in the newspaper! This is one of my favorite pictures of him and the local paper printed it this past Saturday!

Addiction???

I have always bragged on what an easy baby Will has been. He transitioned to each stage so well. He was easy to wean, easy to take off the bottle, easy to sleep and nap.

With that being said, I think taking away the pacifier is going to be an all-out war!!! What do you think -- would you say he has an addiction?

Texas Tech vs. Texas game

The biggest home game of the year, so far!!! And, unless you have been under and extremely large rock, you know that Tech pulled this one off and climbed up to #2!!!!!
David and his co-workers put together a GREAT tailgate for everyone....I think everyone enjoyed the pre and post celebration!!!! Especially Will and his friend, Brant.

Will finished his busy weekend with fixing Aunt Carrie's hair for her, and eating donuts with Uncle Lesley before they went back to Aledo!

Halloween at School

Will had a Halloween party at school. I was able to go and was so happy that I could "document" his first school party. Here is Will with all of his friends enjoying the several snacks:

Here is a few minutes later....his friends are finishing up and Will is still going:

And in a few more minutes -- Will is still going, and everyone else is gone:

And still one more...now the ENTIRE class is done except for Will -- he didn't eat THAT much -I think he just took his time!!!!

Here are a few others I took while I was there - I think he likes his school and his friends:

Will and his favorite teacher, Emily, although Will calls her "Emmy"

Will's best friend at school, Beau:

Halloween at Home

Halloween was an argument at our house. David wanted Will to be Darth Vader and I was against it. Will has no idea who Darth Vader is, and he kept grabbing the lion costumes and loving on them. At the last minute, Daddy agreed to a lion. After finding one on E-Bay, it arrived ON Halloween. It is a good thing that we didn't invest much money in the costume....Will was the cutest lion EVER...for about 12 minutes!!!!

Will's Grammy and Papa came to see him and brought him the most amazing gift!!! His Papa made him his very own table with benches. The benches are different heights so it will grow with him. He loved it!!!!!

What a sweet note Papa added under the drawer:

On the Road Again - Aledo, Texas!

Will's Uncle Lesley and Aunt Carrie bought a new house in Aledo. We decided to go and check it out and watch the Tech and Kansas St. game with them. Their house is gorgeous!!!!

It is just enough outside of town to make Lesley feel as though he is back in West Texas - just a tad. It even comes complete with goats next door!!!

We had a great time visiting with them. Will enjoyed their big backyard, a wonderful park near their house, and of course, a trip to Cabela's.

As you can see from the pictures - I think everyone enjoyed the park!!!

Also - I love this picture of Will and his cousins....they love him and spoil him rotten:

Labor Day weekend full of "firsts"

We had a great weekend! Will attended his first Texas Tech game and he loved it. He lasted the entire game!!!!
Will with his guns up!!!

Then, Will got to enjoy his first go cart race with his daddy and cousin, Colton....

Monday, was September the first, and that is Labor Day - but it is known around our house as the first day of dove hunting season. So, daddy insisted that Will go on his first dove hunt:
