Walking???

Will is really getting better at walking. He can now take about 12-15 steps completely on his own. I thought that it wasn't considered walking until he could just get up and go on his own. All of my friends, have said that he is totally walking -- no question about it. What do you think???

No more cough medicines for us!!!

Will got sick the week before Christmas and has not been able to get over his cough. On Wednesday, the doctor called in a cough medicine for us to give him at night. We gave it to him on Wednesday night, and had a HORRIBLE night. He was up for about 3 hours. We did it again on Thursday night and same thing -- up for almost 4 hours.

We had also weaned him from his daytime bottles, so I wasn't sure if it was the medicine or the lack of bottles. Friday night we didn't do the cough medicine and his night was perfect. He slept from 8-8!!!

After reading more about cough medicines I have found that they are not good for kids under 2 and they can cause their heart to race.

We had a great weekend after that. He took great naps (with out the aid of a bottle). So, maybe now we are back on track.

I finally did it!!!

So many of my friends have blogs and have urged me to do one. So, I took the plunge today. We definitely do not have a shortage of pictures or updates, so this should be easy.....it is just finding the time to do it.

Just to start, David and I are enjoying every minute of watching Will grow up. He is so amazing! He has really seemed to be changing overnight these days. We just celebrated his first birthday this past weekend. It is so hard for me to believe that he is one now.
