Snow/Ice!!!

This was the first snow that Will was old enough to actually enjoy. We took him outside and he played with his dump truck for about 20 minutes before declaring, "Momma - I cold!" So, we went in to warm up by the fire.

As soon as he was warm again he wanted to go back outside! This is a 15 minute ordeal to get hat, gloves, coat, etc. But out we went again, but this time for a bigger adventure. The neighbors were outside with a sled/disc. The dads got together and decided to use our Ranger to really get the sled moving.

And, yes - much to my horror, Daddy and Will took a turn on the sled!!!

Will has learned his ABCs!!!

We have worked on this, and he just hasn't shown much interest past the letter D. Then, out of the blue, while getting ready for bed, he started singing them!!!

Our big 2 year old!!!

Will turned 2 officially on Sunday!!! We had his birthday party on Saturday and it was wonderful! He is growing up so quickly and learning new things every minute...he is so full of personality and is the love of our lives. Being a mom has been the best! I never knew how much motherhood would change me. I no longer go to sleep without thoughts of Will in my head. I love that Will is so much like his daddy with his witt and personality, but has some of my more analitical traits!
I wanted to make a list of some of my favorite things about my precious boy!

I love how he tries to sing along with every song, even if it is the first time he has heard it.

I love that when he gets sleepy he adds an "ie" onto everything: "I need my cuppie." I read booksie."

I love that he loves books and is hungry to learn new things.

I love how he still wants me to rock him when he is tired. Even when I have things to do, and I get daddy to put him to bed, he will say, "No, momma rock you."

I love how when I sing a song to him and he isn't in the mood to hear it, he demands, "No - don't do that." When he is adamant about something, it comes out all as one word: Nodon'tdothat!

I love how he tells you, "Momma sit there, right there." And, heaven forbid, I don't comply, I get a very stern, "Momma, sit!"

I love how if he wants to read another book, or get another drink before going to sleep, he puts one finger up right next to his nose and says, "One more time."

I love how as soon as he sees his daddy, he runs to him, yelling, "Daddy."

I love how when I pick him up at school and ask him if he wants to go to gym, or to the store, he tells me, "Daddy first." He wants to get his daddy too, and then we can do whatever we need to do.

I love that he calls me Momma, but when he has really missed me, it turns into "Mommy!"

I love how when we walk anywhere, he reaches for my hand, and says, "Hold hand."

I love how sweet he is to people. Grammy or Nanny can walk out of the room and when they walk back in, he will excitedly say, "Hello Gammy. Hello Nanny."

I love how he is learning his manners. Through Christmas and birthday he has always said, "Thank you" for all of his gifts. And, when he asks for a drink, snack, etc., he will say, "Please ma'am, Please sir."

I love how he is using his imagination. He will be in the bath and "eat" chicken nuggets and french fries, and remind himself to dip them in ketchup. He will grab a bag and tell us, "Bye - Bo house, Nanny house, back in a minute." Then promptly return to the room and let us know that he played trucks and read books and had fun.

I love the way he runs. His little legs just look like they are going as fast as they possibly can!

I love how if he tells you to do something fast, he just shakes his head to make it look like he is really hurrying!

I love that when he gets hurt, he says, "Momma, kiss it."

I love how he watches out the car window and points at things with such enthusiasm. "Momma!!! Biiiigggg truck! Tractor!! More!"

I love that he thinks his Daddy can fix ANYTHING. If the sun is in his eyes, he will say, "Daddy, fix it!"

I love how he dances and sings and is such a ham!!!

I love how he sneaks up on you. He will bend down and push his lips together with a mischievious look and tip toe until he gets to you.

I love how when you suggest he do something, he emphatically will smile, and say, "OKAY!!!"

I love how every night, he tells Daddy, "I love you punkin head." Because that is what his daddy tells him. Then, he tells me, "Daddy punkin head, momma punkin head, Will punkin head, we all punkin heads!"

I love you, Will, for being you!!!
And of course, here are pictures from the party:

You will always be my baby boy! My heart is overflowing with love and joy for this little miracle!!!
Love,
Your Momma

Will's Tractor

He loves the tractor so much, that he insisted on sitting on it to eat his breakfast. This is my new favorite video of him. He has to really concentrate to tell you what a donkey says!!!

And, the weather was nice enough to finally take the tractor outside. Will loves finding rocks and putting them in the trailer:

Christmas and more!

First of all -- the new background! This month Will is celebrating his 2nd birthday!! I cannot believe that 2 years have flown by so quickly!!

Christmas was busy and so much fun. Will was spoiled rotten and so were the rest of us. We started our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve with my family. Will got a big truck and a guitar from Poppy and Nanny, another big truck from Aunt Kadee and Uncle Carey, the interactive horse bounce and spin from Uncle Lance and Aunt Cindy, and several other things!

Will also managed to "sneak off" at Nanny's with a cookie:
Christmas morning was great. Will was excited that Santa came and brought him his tractor and firetruck! He opened his presents from mom and dad and was overwhelmed with all of his new things!

Christmas afternoon we headed to Snyder to have Christmas with all of David's family. Will got a bear, a tractor and a truck and was spoiled rotten again!

On the day after Christmas, David's parents came in town. Papa and Grammy were so upset to not be here ON Christmas, but Will was just as excited to see them as always. More spoiling ensued - a workbench with tools, musical instruments from Uncle James and Tia Yvette, and tons more!!!

I think Grammy could have saved some serious money - all Will wanted from her, was for her to be there:

And, we STILL aren't done!! Uncle Lesley and Aunt Carrie came in town on the Saturday after Christmas. They got Will his very own computer, and he loves it!!!
We are so blessed to have been surrounded by all of our family and to have them all here. Will would have been just fine with that....the presents were a bonus!
